2020, December, 5th Arab Water Forum in Abu Dhabi/UAE

Due to the global pandemic situation, many pressing problems - including the global drinking water supply - have faded into the background. That is why it is so important that utilities, technology providers and investors find each other again as soon as possible and develop solutions together.

The 5th Arab Water Forum from 07/12/20 to 09/12/20 in Abu Dhabi/UAE offers a very good opportunity for this. We sincerely hope that we can meet you there again in good health.

2020, February, The German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy invites SYNLIFT to join the Saudi-German Energy Dialogue

An expert workshop on the topic of Energy Systems of the Future: System Integration, Flexibility and Value Creation will take place on 04/03/20 in Riyadh as part of the Saudi-German Energy Dialogue. The German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy has invited SYNLIFT as a representative for the relevant area of seawater desalination.

Because of COVID-19 the expert workshop has been cancelled at short notice.

 

2020, January, The German Federal Association of the Solar Industry is planning a special exhibition "Solar & Water" together with the organizers of smarterE and invites SYNLIFT to present.

The smarterE in Munich is the leading trade fair for solar and storage technologies and also the largest energy fair in Europe.

Within the solar industry there is currently a trend towards integrated solutions and applications for solar energy. That is why the Federal Association of the Solar Industry and the organizers of smarterE are planning a special exhibition for this year's fair, which will take place from 17/06 to 19/06 under the motto "Solar & Water". SYNLIFT was asked to present its services there and was involved in the planning of the exhibition already at an early stage.

Because of COVID-19 the smarterE 2020 has been cancelled completely.

 

2019, November, The trade journal Erneuerbare Energien publishes one focus on desalination with renewable energies with an extensive reporting on the project activities of SYNLIFT

The bi-monthly Erneuerbare Energien is considered the leading trade magazine for wind, solar and bioenergy in the German-speaking area and is primarily aimed at investors, project developers, municipal utilities and energy providers. In the 07/2019 edition (pp. 16-21), an article about solar and wind powered seawater desalination was published under the title Jeder Tropfen zählt (Every drop counts), which reports in detail on the current REdesal activities of SYNLIFT.

2019, Juli, Start of the industry initiative for the development and market launch of a mobile REdesal technology for medium and large capacities

With signing of a memorandum of understanding with the first tec partner, the partnership within the industrial initiative began in summer 2019.

2019, February, Preparation for an industry initiative within the REdesal sector

The goal is to implement the development and market launch of a mobile REdesal technology for temporary and permanent supply tasks together with manufacturers of key components, providers of relevant services (tec partners) and plant engineering companies (system partners). For this purpose, preliminary talks with potential partners were started from 02/2019 on.

 

2019, January, Panelist Contribution on Water/Tech for Good Forum as part of World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi

Our Managing Partner Joachim Käufler participated as a panelist at the Water/Tech for Good Forum as part of the World Future Energy Summit WFES 2019, Abu Dhabi.

"Which answers can the water industry give to upcoming extreme cases" was a central panel question. With regard to this topic Joachim presented requirements for a mobile REdesal unit for medium and large capacities there.

 

2018, April, ENAPAC Project nominated for the Design to Improve Life® INDEX Award 2019

The INDEX Award Jury announced the ENAPAC project in Chile (a large-scale solar powered seawater desalination and water transport system) - based on our SYNWATER® design, applied to the project by SYNLIFT as general planner - for the INDEX Award in the category “work“. The Design to Improve Life® INDEX Award is a renowned design price for sustainable products partnered by GOOD® Design Award Australia and Danish Design Award and the Danish Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs.

 

2018, March, 04 - 07, PDAC Convention 2018, Toronto

The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) annually hosts an international Trade Show and Investors Exchange in Toronto - an important event in the mining industry's calendar. Since we are intensifying our activities in the mining sector - as an important industrial business customer of our services & products - we attended PDAC this year to meet a very interesting variety of new potential business partners and to update on our established relations in the industry. 2017, July, Feasibility Study contracted by Chilean mining company

A worldwide mining company based in Chile contracts SYNLIFT to conceptually design al large-scale SYNWATER® pumping and long-distance water transport system for direct renewable energy supply and / or flexible operation according to grid operators' short-term energy supply price signals.

 

2017, June, Large-scale SYNWATER® REdesal design accepted for EIA by Chilean Authorities

Large-scale SYNWATER® desalination plant including a long-distance water pumping and piping system directly powered by an integrated solar energy plant is accepted for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) by Chilean authorities. The respective project Energías y Aguas des Pacifica (abbreviated as ENAPAC) is instantaneously covered by water specific media - e.g. desalination.biz Magazine 05/06/2017. SYNLIFT has been contracted by Trends Industrial S.A. - a member of the Chilean Trends Group - to realize the front-end engineering design (FEED) as general technical planner since June 2016, subsequent to project development consultancy since 2015.
